Usable Webs has created a detailed outline of topics we will evaluate in your assessment. We share this with you at the beginning of the project. You pick the topics you want us to assess, which allows you to control the cost of the assessment.

Below you will see just three of the topics we cover.

Finding the site If people can't find your site in the major search engines, you have major problems before you begin! We will not only find out where you stand in the search engines based on several sample searches, we will tell you what to do to improve your rankings.

Every search engine uses different logic. It is an art to balance the requirements and quirks of the different engines and still meet your goals.

Finding the information Content is king on the Web. Most people who use the Internet now are looking for information. They have three tasks--
  1. They have to find your site.
  2. They have to find the page in the site with their information.
  3. They have to find the information on the page.

We look at your navigation, your page design, and your writing style to see if they help or hinder your visitor's goal of finding information.

Speed Web visitors hate to wait unless they know they have finally reached the page they need. Then they will wait for it to load if they believe that the page will give them meaningful content.

Most Webmasters and designers know this about Web users. Yet many insist on creating designs and using images that take a long time to load. We will identify these spots and help you educate your designers about the dangers these perhaps awesome effects pose for your visitors.
