| Since childhood I have been fascinated by the concept of life
as fabric—as a web, as discrete threads woven into a fabric that shapes one person's life. This
thing called the Web, for me, fits this fascination. In a microcosm, the choices about
what thread to follow, what decision to make, are echoed here. This is what the Web is all
about—mutability and permanence, connectivity, paths taken and not taken.
