There is one requirements for our visitors--they must tell us what they liked best! Following are comments, with pictures, from the guest book.
Gerald on Chuckanut DriveYou truly have found a piece of God's country to retire with here. Many blessings to you both as you begin anew. For future followers to Fidalgo Island (of whom I hope there are few--I would love to keep Anacortes the best kept secret this side of the Mississippi); I totally recommend the views from Washington Park and Chuckanut Drive.             Gerald
Mary and Bruce picnicking at Washington park
Mary--WOW!! What a great place to live! My favorite activity was the Washington Park sunset picnic. We saw cormorants, pigeon guillemots and a seal. (He was actually a selkie wanna-be.) My favorite hike was to Deception Pass. My favorite meal was the paninni from Gepetto's. (Gee, we were only here for two days--they were jampacked.)

Bruce-- Wonderful vistas, really enjoyed the crab picnic at sunset (seals, stars) the tidal pools and fresh oysters at the Chuckanut Inn.

Beth throwing the crab pot inBeth's favorite activity was crabbing at Rosario Beach. We went out on the pier, threw out the crab  pot, and then went exploring tidal pools. Asia liked everything, especially swinging at Washington Park.Rock crab, limpet, barnacles

We also went whaling, had picnics, and went to Seattle, where Asia had too much walking, heat, and lemonade and threw up, quietly, in a corner of Nordstrom's!

My trip to my Mom's new life, house, and dream--She lives in a very beautiful town called Anacortes, WA. The mountains and the bays are very beautiful and quite breathtaking. Of course, anyone who knows me will know that my favorite thing was being with my family. The activity which I enjoyed the most was the whale watching trip.

I also enjoyed the park where the tide pools and beach were. I hadn't seen a rocky beach like that before. I loved picking up the rocks and seeing the large starfish. I had a very nice time on my visit. We went to Seattle and spent the day, which was also nice. House hunting was fun too!    Kim
